Why convert Word to PDF?

A Word file can look different on every computer: fonts get replaced, lines move to the next page and images shift. A PDF fixes the layout, so your CV, invoice, contract or thesis looks exactly the same for everyone, on phones, Macs and printers. PDFs are also harder to edit by accident and are accepted by almost every online form and application portal.

What is preserved

  • Text formatting, fonts, headings and lists.
  • Tables, images, shapes and text boxes.
  • Headers, footers, page numbers and footnotes.
  • Hyperlinks, which stay clickable in the PDF.
  • Page size and orientation, including mixed portrait and landscape sections.

Conversion uses LibreOffice, a mature office suite that reads Microsoft formats very accurately. Documents that use unusual fonts are rendered with metrically compatible free fonts, so line breaks stay the same.

Privacy and security

Your file is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our own conversion server, converted, and deleted immediately after the result is sent back. It is never stored, shared or looked at, and the converter has no internet access of its own.
