How to use the MP3 to WAV tool
- Choose MP3 or other audio files.
- Optionally choose mono (needed by many phone systems).
- Click “Convert to WAV”.
- Download the WAV files.
The WAV format you get
The tool writes standard PCM WAV with 16-bit samples at 44.1 kHz, the CD format that every program and device can read. Mono or stereo is up to you.
Does WAV improve quality?
No. Converting an MP3 to WAV keeps exactly the quality of the MP3; it only removes the compression. That is still useful: editing a WAV avoids extra quality loss when you save again, and some software accepts only WAV.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser: the audio is decoded by your browser and encoded on your device. Your files are never uploaded.
