CSV to Excel converter

Turn CSV exports into proper Excel spreadsheets: columns split correctly, numbers recognised, header row in bold and frozen, column widths adjusted.

Private: works in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

How to use the CSV to Excel tool

  1. Choose one or more CSV files.
  2. Leave the delimiter on “Detect automatically” or choose it.
  3. Choose separate files or one workbook with a sheet per CSV.
  4. Click “Convert to Excel” and download the XLSX.

Why not just open the CSV in Excel?

Opening a CSV directly in Excel often goes wrong: all data lands in one column because the delimiter does not match your regional settings, accented letters turn into strange symbols, and codes like 00123 lose their leading zeros. This converter reads the file as UTF-8, detects the delimiter, and keeps values with leading zeros as text, so product codes, phone numbers and postal codes stay intact.

What you get

  • Numbers stored as real numbers, ready for formulas and sorting.
  • Bold, frozen header row that stays visible when you scroll.
  • Column widths adjusted to the content.
  • Optionally, several CSVs combined into one workbook, one sheet each.

Privacy

This conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Which delimiters are detected?

Comma, semicolon, tab and the pipe character.

Will long numbers like card or ID numbers be changed?

Numbers with more than 15 digits are kept as text so Excel does not round them.

Can I combine several CSVs?

Yes. Choose “All CSVs as sheets of one file”.

Is there a size limit?

No upload limit. Files with hundreds of thousands of rows work on a normal computer, though very large files take longer.
